How Artists Are Paying Tribute To Tom Petty

Thomas Earl Petty was a legend in American rock music. He was a songwriter, musician, and record producer. Petty passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2017 at 8:40pm PST. He was found in his Malibu home in cardiac arrest.

Tom Petty earned many hits and number one’s. The most popular were “Free Fallin'” and “I Won’t Back Down” from his solo debut album Full Moon Fever (1989), and “American Girl” from Tom Petty and The Heartbreaker’s self titled debut album.

These artists covered Petty’s songs as a tribute to the legendary rocker.
