The annual Billboard Music Awards took place at MGM Grand Las Vegas on May 20th. Within 56 award categories, the Country genre was represented in 12. Sam Hunt, Chris Stapleton, and Alan Jackson were nominated for awards outside of the Country specific categories including Top Selling Song, Top Selling Album, Billboard Chart Achievement Award, and Top Christian Song.
