Lauren Lane (nee Bushnell) joined her husband Chris Lane on the Chevy Riverfront Stage during CMA plans to share news of their second child! Lauren sported a baby bump while she beamed next to husband Chris as he sang “Big Big Plans”, the song he wrote dedicated to Lauren. The couple are parents to one-year-old son Dutton.
Lauren recently revealed that she hopes this second child is a girl. She revealed that she really wants to be a girl mom. Chris joked that he hopes for a girl as well, noting, “We can hopefully potentially stop at two. We don’t want to get outnumbered here.” They’re thinking that if this new arrival turns out to be a boy, they’re thinking about baby number three in the future to give Lauren her wish.
It hasn’t been an easy pregnancy for Lauren. Doctors diagnosed her with marginal cord insertion. This occurs when the umbilical cord attaches on the side of the placenta instead of in the middle at the central placental mass. “She’s been a lot sicker this time around than she was the first go at it. She ended up in the hospital. And that was a bad day for us, but outside of that, she’s holding it together,” Chris says of the struggles.
