CMA Fest 2018 Lineup

Well it is finally official! Summer is almost here. Every year, the Country Music  Association hosts CMA fest in downtown Nashville, TN, a major country music festival that hosts hundreds of today’s top country music stars and many stars of the past as well. This year’s festival is June 7-10. The lineup is revered as the largest and best in the entire industry and the festival is ranked the number 1 country music festival in the world year after year.

This year, the lineup has a few pleasant surprises to be had. The initially announced lineup contained four different stages, including the two largest for the festival. The Budweiser Forever Country stage will showcase talents of the past several decades including the likes of Joe Diffie, Tracey Lawrence and Lonestar. This stage is held near Ascend Amphitheater on the river. The second announced was the Breakout Stage at the Walk of Fame park. This stage is set for emerging artists who are almost guaranteed to be country’s next big thing. The next two stages announced are the two largest in the festival. Firstly, the Riverfront Park lineup always contains stars with several hits on the radio. Many of these performers will be seen on the mainstage next year, some of them will even be appearing this year. This lineup contains artists such as LOCASH, Carley Pearce, Scotty Mccreery, Lauren Alaina and Granger Smith. This stage is a must see for anyone going to the festival during the day. The final announcement of today was the big one, the nightly concerts at Nissan Stadium. This is a highly-coveted stage that artists work for years to get onto.

This year, the festival seemed to veer away from the same artists that they have been using year after year and have switched it up a little bit. Country superstars like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton and Carrie Underwood will still be performing. The newcomers to the stage include Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay and Jon Pardi. These artists have all blown up over the past year and are set to put on an amazing show at the stadium. Lauren Alaina and Bebe Rexha are listed as special guests. Alaina will most likely be performing the smash hit “What Ifs” with Kane Brown and Rexha will probably perform her number one single “Meant to Be” with the boys of Florida Georgia
Line. This is set to be an amazing festival and we highly suggest going to even one
day if you can!

The day concerts are free to the public but the nightly stadium shows require a
pass which can be found here. Tickets are limited.
