Dwight Yoakam’s 30+ year career continues strongly into 2018 with two new singles, straying away from the bluegrass sounds of his last album and back to his familiar country rock roots. The first single is “Pretty Horses”, a mid-tempo tune about moving on from love. The second single, “Then Here Came Monday”, co-written by Chris Stapleton, is a slower ballad about lamenting lost love. Both songs encapsulate his signature style we’ve come to appreciate over the years.

This summer, Dwight will be setting out on a tour called the LSD tour, with the L referring to Lucinda Williams, S for Steve Earle, and D, naturally, for Dwight. This tour also features guest act King Leg. Check out where they’re going here. You can also check out his station on SiriusXM: Dwight Yoakam and the Bakersfield Beat, which focuses on more rocking, less produced country music. And don’t forget to follow Dwight on Twitter and Facebook.
