Luke Bryan is hard at work on his next album, and his single “Country On” is a taste of what fans should expect. “This is the first installment of a project I’m working on,” Luke says of this new effort. This single salutes all the blue collar workers out there grinding day in and day out to support themselves and their families. If you’re hard at work out there, Luke Bryan pays his respect to you.
Hey cowboy, keep slingin’ that rope
Eatin’ that dirt, wearing that gold
Break a leg rodeo, but just don’t break no bones
Country on
Hey barkeep, how ’bout another round?
Keep the neon lit in this crazy town
Just pour a little more
Country on
“When you think about it on a t-shirt, and everybody’s saying ’Country On’ when you’re having a bad day, and you can know you can drink a beer and “Country On,’ it feels pretty good,” Luke Bryan says on what he thinks “Country On” means. “But I love what the song says. I love that it uplifts the hardworking American people out there, and it brings a lot of unity. This song just has feel-good vibes all the way around it, and I’m just honored to have it out.”
“Anytime you can reference country music fans in a song, and you can really make it feel natural,” Luke continues. “This song does that. And I think it’s gonna be pretty amazing to have it out.” We’re looking forward to whatever Luke has planned next for this album! Stream “Country On” below.
