Matt Stell has debuted his own Instagram Live show Wednesday, March 25 entitled “Penned Up”. Stell’s theory behind the show is to have artists share songs they’ve written during quarantine. His goal is to get three guests on the show and share what they’ve come up with. Stell shared his song called “Make It Two”, which he said he finished around six minutes before the stream started! It starts off sounding like he’s just going to order a drink for a girl at a bar, but it evolves into a flourishing love story.

Stell’s first guest is Lindsay Ell. She shares her song “When I Loved You”, about yearning for feelings from a past relationship. She accompanies herself with her piano. She says she’ll be doing Instagram Lives with various other radio stations to pass the time.

Next up is Jameson Rogers. The song he wrote in quarantine is called “Bars Back Home”, about how nothing can compare to the comfort back home. He mentions that golf courses in the Metro Nashville area are still open for walking (as long as you stay six feet apart from whomever joins you)!

The final guest for Wednesday’s stream is HARDY. He mentions it’s his girlfriend’s birthday this weekend! He performs his song “Broke Boy”, a fictionalized retelling of a true story.

Stell will be streaming “Penned Up” every Wednesday at 8 PM Central time for as long as artists are still quarantining themselves, so we’ll get some good music out of it! These songs aren’t available to stream, but you can watch a replay on his Facebook!
