What influenced your love for music?

“I have always been involved with music. I come from a very musical family but my first experience in the industry was managing my brothers’ band. It wasn’t until about 2 years ago that I started working on my own music.”

When did you start songwriting and what do you like to write about?

“I wrote my first song when I was 13 but didn’t do it seriously until I started making music in college. I like to write about life experiences whether that be telling a story or just conveying an emotion or feeling. Those are my favorite because they’re universally relatable.”

What is the story behind “I Don’t Want To Catch My Breath”?

“It explains the feeling of finding the kind of love that everyone is looking for, that everyone hears about, and how once you find it you don’t want to let it go.”

What motivates you as an artist?

“Creating music that’s relatable. I love music for that reason so it’s important to me that I create that experience for my own audience.”

How do you set yourself apart from other Country artists?

“I think I provide a happy medium for those country fans who appreciate a traditional country sound but also love the pop country that’s on the radio right now.”

What have you learned as an artist so far?

“To stay true to myself and do what I believe in. It’s  easy to get caught up in what other people are telling you to do but the most important thing I’ve learned is to trust my instincts and go with what feels authentic and genuine to me.”
