Nate Smith dropped his latest single “I Found You” September 23. The hotly-anticipated follow-up to his smash “Whiskey On You”, Nate Smith has been riding high off the success of that smash. “Whiskey On You” has over 90 million streams across streaming platforms and is Nate Smith’s first song to chart on Billbaord’s music chart, reaching 14 on the Hot Country chart and 84 on the Hot 100 chart. “I Found You” is sure to mimic that success.
“‘I Found You’ is a song about timing and redemption. There’s nothing more affirming to a heart then when someone sees you with all your faults and still chooses you, and that’s what this song is about,” Nate Smith says about his newest release. The verses wax about the what-ifs that emerge when certain circumstances don’t come together with regards to a budding relationship. The chorus praises Nate’s love interest on being able to help him settle down.
‘Cause I was a train wreck in a dive bar, going nowhere in this town
I wasn’t ready, wasn’t looking for a reason to stick around
I thought this wild heart of mine was meant to run ’til the end of time
Out on the loose, that was almost true
Then I found you
“I really believe in my heart that everything happens for a reason, and when it’s right, it’s right. I really hope people connect to it in a special and personal way!” shares Nate on how he hopes listeners relate to “I Found You”. Stream “I Found You” below.
