The Springs Release New Single “I’m Gonna Love You”

The Springs

Country music duo, The Springs, release their new single “I’m Gonna Love You” today, sharing their love story from day one.

In a recent Facebook Live video, Stewart explains how the song started from a line saved on his phone to a full song. “I had this idea in my phone for a while. When we’re in this life stage, we have friends who are getting married, getting pregnant, having baby showers, and different things like that. So I wrote in my phone ‘I’m gonna love you’ because I asked one of my friends if he was excited about having a baby. I asked, ‘do you know if it’s going to be a boy or girl?’ And he said, ‘I don’t know what it’s going to be yet, but whatever it’s going to be, I’m gonna love them.”

The husband and wife duo wrote the love song (along with co-writers Ian McConnell and Lydia Dallaire) about their relationship, remembering the time before they knew each other, as told in the first verse.

Maybe you’re somewhere out with your friends
And you wanna go home but they don’t wanna go yet
Maybe you’re working late at a job that you hate
for the sake of a steadier paycheck
Maybe you’re on a date with a guy at the place down the street
And maybe one day you’ll be at the same place again but with me

Stewart and Holly announced that they are releasing a music video to “I’m Gonna Love You”, which would be a first for The Springs.

Listen to the new single and take a look at Stewart and Holly‘s love story from the beginning. They met at Nashville’s famous The Bluebird Cafe on January 23, 2011 and have been married for over 4 years.

Stewart’s Birthday love note to Holly

(December 15, 2014) Today is a day that I could never forget. Today is a day that means everything to me. 23 years ago today God brought Holly Carol Helms into this world and now she has grown to be the beautiful woman I will spend the rest of my life with. Her parents raised her according to the Bible to be a believer in God first and foremost, but also to be a dreamer. Holly is the hardest working person I know and she knows what her goals are. She is also the most loving person I know….and also the most loved person that I know. In so many ways she is PERFECT to me! I thank God today for sharing her with the world 23 years ago! I love you more than anything in this world Holly!! Happy birthday!! -Stewart

How did he ask?

(December 20, 2014) For those of you who don’t know how it happened… I told Holly we were going out for her birthday at The Bluebird Cafe (which is where we met on January 23rd, 2011). When she got got out of the car I asked her to close her eyes, and I led her onto the stage. Her parents on one side of the stage, my parents on the other side. Candles were lit on all the tables, and I had just gotten her nails done the day before. Our friend and photographer Laura K. Allen Photography & Design was there to capture the moment, and as I got on one knee my heart was pounding like crazy!! Then I asked “Holly Carol Helms, will you marry me?”….and with a 3 letter word my life has been changed and I never want to look back… “YES”.

Last performance at The Bluebird Cafe before the wedding

(July 6, 2015) Last night was the LAST TIME I will play the Bluebird as Holly Helms! Wow!! It doesn’t even seem real! The next time we play there we will be married! Holy cow! Where does time go! Stewart and I met on that EXACT stage 4 years ago and he asked me to be his wife on that EXACT stage a little over 1 year ago!! Thankful for all these blessings! What a dream!
Thank you Michele Henson for capturing this photo!!!
