Tim Montana has a new EP out! Reno is a six-track package highlighting different facets of Tim’s music. Each song feels distinct from each other, and with Tim’s influences varying from Merle Haggard to Guns n’ Roses, listeners know they’re getting an eclectic mix. “We lit the rule book on fire and just went for it, focusing on creating music that was true to me— and that’s exactly what you’re getting—pure Tim Montana,” Tim says of this effort.

The first track off the EP, “American Dream” blends rock and hip-hop. The video for this family-centric track took place at Tim’s mother’s actual fourth wedding. Family can be kind of screwed up, but family sticks together no matter what. Tim celebrates what makes him who he is in “Guy Like Me”, a badass rockin’ anthem. The titular track “Reno” sees Tim seeking an escape to Reno, Nevada. The glitz of the lights and the thrills in the casino comfort him as he chases away his troubles.

He dedicates “Stoned On You” to his partner, where he longs to be around her. This album features two collaborations. First is with Colbie Callait on “Real Good People”. They sing about the flaws they have and their true good nature despite said flaws. Capping off this EP is a cover of Tupac Shakur‘s “California Love” with help from Billy F. Gibbons and Matt Sorum.

“When I die, this will be the music I’ll be most proud of making,” Tim reflects glowingly of his work. It’s an excellent effort and has something for everyone. Steam Reno below. Make sure to follow Tim Montana on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
