Combs has recently released the song, “When It Rains It Pours” as his newest single. From his album, This One’s For You, this song is bound to be a hit. Following his certified platinum and number 1 single “Hurricane”, “When It Rains It Pours” is a comical single that dives into a stint of luck that a guy can have after his girlfriend walks out. The song starts talking about his girlfriend left him over his weekend antics. After a drive to a Shell, the guy starts his bit of luck:
Then I won a hundred bucks on a scratch off ticket
Bought two twelve packs and a tank of gas with it
She swore they were a waste of time, oh, but she was wrong
I was caller number five on a radio station, won a four-day, three-night, beach vacation
Deep sea, senorita, fishing down in Panama
And I ain’t gotta see my ex future mother-in-law anymore
Oh lord, when it rains it pours
I think that anyone who has been through a breakup can easily relate to this song; it either goes terribly or it goes well. In Combs’ case, it obviously brought some good redneck luck.
