Confirmed by the popular duo’s official Facebook page, Gentry was killed in a tragic helicopter accident. This happened at 1pm in Medford, New Jersey. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
Montgomery Gentry was formed in 1999 by Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. Over the years, they’ve had numerous chart topping hits, ACM and CMA awards, and became Grand Ole Opry members.
Some Country artists and superstars took to social media about the sudden event.
