Hot Country Artist Travis Rice Drowns in Heartache with Brand New Single, Sinking Ship

Travis RIce

Coming off the success of his sultry and steamy single, Don’t Waste The Rain, Travis Rice is back with an emotional masterpiece. His brand new single, Sinking Ship, will tug at your heart strings with its haunting melody and Rice’s rugged vocals. The song is available on iTunes and all digital retailers today, Friday, November 17, 2017.

He also released an accompanying music video to the song, which can be found on YouTube and already airing on The Country Network. You can view the music video HERE and check your local listings for TV affiliate and scheduled air times for The Country Network.

This song, written by Rice himself captures the raw pain of loss. “I think most of us can relate to the scenario that we know something or someone that’s not right for us, but it feels so great at the time that the rush of it makes us untie the bowlines and rush out to the open ocean just to discover that we’re in a perfect storm where we are stranded…no one is coming for us and we’re all alone,” says Rice. “It was easy to write this song in a very truthful and genuine way because I was just describing things that most of us feel sometime in our life.”

The music video to Sinking Ship was filmed at 1087 Studios by Jake Parker of Common Era Productions. The video’s somber setting compliments the tone of the song without distracting from Rice’s raw, acoustic, intimate performance.

About Travis Rice: Rice kicked off 2017 on a high note as being named one of the “Top 10 Sexy Men of Nashville.” Since then, he proved that to be true by showing his sultry side with Don’t Waste The Rain. He received critical praise from radio stations by saying “That’s some good country music right there,” “It’ll give the majors a run for the money,” “What a sweet, sexy and talented guy he is,” and “He has the voice that people are looking for.” This song, which also accompanies a music video that has over 230k views, also climbed The Fan Voted Chart all the way to #3, competing as the only independent artist in the Top 5 during that time.

With bold vocals and a rugged allure, this Tennessee native has shared the stage with Colt Ford, Craig Morgan, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, among others. He has been receiving positive feedback since his debut release in 2016, Women, Water and Beer. This upbeat country-rooted song earned him the DisCovery Award from renowned music critic Robert K. Oermann and “…the next big male country star in country music” from Digital Journal. With real emotion embedded in his songs, Rice is destined to remind fans and performers why we all love and connect with country music.
