Landon Wall Wins Nashville Rising Song

Landon Wall

Country music songwriter/artist, Landon Wall, was crowned the winner of Nashville Rising Song Series 1 – a highly competitive open-mic songwriting competition.  After winning the industry judges pick at one of ten preliminary rounds, Landon ultimately won the Series 1 of the competition with his original song, “Birth Of A Song.”

The poignant and powerful ballad features emotional lyrics inspired by those who have helped Landon learn the craft of songwriting along the way in his young 14 year life. Landon states, “Birth Of A Song” is about the important role that mentors play in our lives. I’ve been blessed to have some amazing mentors since I started this musical journey. People who took the time out of their busy lives to help a little kid with a big dream. The older I get, the more I realize just how important they are. The “Old Guitar Picker” in the song represents every one that took the time to help and encourage me along the way. I’m hoping that when people hear my song, they will be reminded of the mentors that may have played a role in their lives.”

Landon also has performed at The Nashville Palace, John A’s, BB Kings and the legendary Bluebird Cafe. When Landon was 11 he was invited by Hunter Hayes to perform with him on stage in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the Carolina Country Music Fest in front of 22,000 people. Nashville Rising Song creator, Keith Mohr states about Landon, “I first met this remarkable young man when he was just 9 years old. He came out to a round of what was then called, “Nashville Rising Star,” and I knew right away he would be a grand prize winner of the contest at some point in his career. He kept coming series after series, always impressing me, and continuing to hone his craft. Now, 5 years later, it is Landon’s turn to be crowned Grand Prize winner! It won’t be long until we hear his songs on the radio and see him perform on the big stages, and eventually, the Grand Old Opry!”
