Operation Song is conducting its first VAVS-sponsored quarterly Nashville songwriting retreat this week. Veterans arrived on the afternoon of Thursday (11/15) and will get started writing with professional Nashville songwriters Friday morning (11/16). The retreat culminates in a concert on Saturday afternoon (11/17) at 3:00 at the W.O. Smith Music School, 1125 8th Avenue South in Nashville. The songs produced during the retreat will be performed with an introduction and some words by the Veteran writers about their retreat experience.
The venue holds about 200 people. They’re not expecting to max it out but it would be great if we had a big turnout for these Veterans.
