Recapping Episode 2 of Matt Stell’s Penned Up Series

Matt Stell returned to Instagram Live this past Wednesday to serenade us with a new song written in quarantine, along with some returning faces and a new friend as well! Matt shared his song “Take Forever”. He had written the chorus prior to quarantine and finished it 30 minutes before going live. Stell also gave a shout-out to MacMillan Guitars of Mt. Juliet, TN for lending him a guitar while his was in the shop.

Lindsay Ell returned this week with a song she finished just before joining the live stream. Her song, tentatively titled “Here For You”, was a song written for getting through tough times. She revealed that she will be doing some more recording of her own writing as well as some covers. She also mentioned she is interested in having her own Instagram Live show focusing on wellness! May we suggest the title be Living Well With Lindsay Ell?

Jameson Rodgers also returned this week. He revealed he passed his time mowing the lawn at his new home this week, which at least it’s a productive way to pass the time! He shared a song written with his girlfriend called “Good Feelings”. Rodgers revealed that new music is in the works with an album hopefully coming in the fall.

Joining the Penned Up stream this week is Jimmie Allen. He’s joining us from Florida where he’s been busy with his one-month old baby girl while getting some fishing in when he can. He shared a new song he’d been working on (didn’t share a title though). He also revealed he’s working on his own Instagram Live show called Set In Stage where he highlights unsigned artists, so look for our recaps on that soon!
