I grew up in a small town in upstate New York, always listening to music and making a party for every occasion. I attended Rochester Institute of Technology for Entertainment and Event Management and graduated in 2015. My passion is live music, preferably Country or Pop. I love live music so much that I am often at concerts, writers rounds, or Broadway after working a long day.
I created Nash In Tune in the early months of 2017 to give a voice and recognition to all Country music artists in Nashville. It is also meant to be a trusting resource for original live music in Music City.

Nashville has been a city I have been drawn to for many years due to its music scene, and I jumped on the chance to move here in July 2016 as soon as it was an option in my life. With my love of live music and finding new artists, writing and sharing it seemed like a perfect opportunity, leading me to start working with Nash In Tune.
I studied Animal Science in Wyoming for 4 years, but moving to Nashville, I saw music playing a part in my future and career. I am currently a student at MTSU in Murfreesboro studying Music Business. My plan is to explore many different parts of the music industry and find what fits. Ultimately, I would love the chance to go to law school and work in entertainment law.
My first concert was Phil Vassar and Montgomery Gentry at the Virginia State Fair in 2003. Country music has always been a huge influence in my life. Since I am always looking for new music and artists to listen to, it can be a little difficult to narrow down who are my favorites.
My Top 5: Jon Langston, Canaan Smith, Old Dominion, Brantley Gilbert, and Darryl Worley
I’m a die-hard music fan, wife and mom of two, a music row professional by day, avid concert goer by night; and a guest contributor to the online music publication, Nash In Tune. Native to Nashville, I grew up close by in Franklin, TN. I attended The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communications. In 2005, I was brought back to my Music City roots, starting a career in performing rights. My involvement in our local music community doesn’t stop there. For the past decade, I have volunteered services to artists in the areas of music publicity, writing bios, booking, promotions and more. I am also passionate about making female mentors available to young women who are currently working in the biz, and am a proud member of the non-profit, Women In Music.
These days my downtime is spent by: listening to music, travelling, dining out, spontaneous dance parties, documentaries, and taking in a heavy dose of live music whenever possible. Devon welcomes feedback, and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Growing up in Montevallo, AL, I always had a passion for music. My dad and my grandad played guitar, and I just fell in love with the way it sounded, and the ability to make music come from an instrument like that. At 15 years old, I started playing around on it, not really knowing what I was doing…but over the years as I practiced on my own and watched my dad, I learned to play guitar very well. I started writing my own songs off of the bat. I’ve always been passionate about writing in general, so when I learned to play guitar, I combined my passion for writing and music to become a singer/songwriter. That’s why I love music. Because it’s something I can grow and develop with and never stop learning. It has the ability to bring out so many emotions and pour them onto others as well.
I would love to be a songwriter in the music industry, but I have a Marketing Communications degree, so any kind of business relation I can have within the music industry, whether it be Marketing, writing, or anything business-like, I want to be as involved and well-rounded with it as I can.

Music has always been my guiding light. From sitting cross-legged as a child on the floor to watch Reba McEntire perform on the CMAs, to grabbing my guitar for a writing session in a park during college, country music always kept me on my path. In 2015 I made the move to Nashville. I always tell people, I don’t know everything, but the one thing I’m sure of, is this where I’m meant to be. I studied communications at the University of Minnesota. During that time, I dabbled as a singer/ songwriter, playing at county fairs and finding any opportunity to play my music and sing for people. Following college, I spent four years at one of the best PR firms in the country where I honed my communication skills before taking a job as a communications specialist at a Nashville-based global non-profit. These opportunities led me to my work with Nash-In-Tune where I support the digital communications and social media efforts, as I continue to share my music as an artist.
