Three new artists made their debut on Jimmie Allen’s Set In Stage series Tuesday! Up first was AMAVA doing her first ever livestream. She’s a Pacific Northwest native who came to Nashville for college, just recently graduating. Her influences are mainly young female pop artists like Lorde, CharliXCX, and Dua Lipa. She’s worked with Jimmie writing a song called “Sober”. It’s still a work in process as she wants to rework the vocals. She shared an acoustic version of her song “Body Bag”, which is more of a pop song but translates well acoustically.
Up next was Alee, a native of Edmonton, Alberta where she got her start. She moved to Nashville two years ago after releasing music in Canada. She performed her song “No One Like You”, which was released this past November and has been featured on Spotify’s Hot Country playlist. It’s the first love song for her new record, as she tends to write breakup songs.
Third was a newcomer to Nashville, Joe Haydel. He’s been pursuing music for four years. Originally from Southern Louisiana, he moved to Nashville this past January. He performed his song “Heaven Sent a Girl”, co-written with Adam Craig and Matt Rodgers. It hasn’t been produced yet, but it intrigued Jimmie who wants to get a studio recording soon.
