NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 15, 2022) – Rising country singer-songwriter Sarahbeth Taite puts a sarcastic spin on the often romanticized cowboy love story on her new single “Boy in Cowboy.” Co-written by Taite, Will Bowen, and Scott Stepakoff, and produced by Luke Dejaynes, the new song, released today, begins with a dreamy melody, but when the lyrics kick in, it’s immediately clear that this is no love song. By the time it hits the chorus, the track becomes an all-out anthem for any woman who has have ever dated someone who acted more like a boy than a man. In “Boy in Cowboy,” Sarahbeth Taite is unapologetic when it comes to knowing her own worth and calling it like she sees it, in lines like “you ain’t restless, you’re just selfish and you don’t ever want to grow up.”

“‘Boy in Cowboy’ was written on a front porch, on a sunny day, with a couple of my favorite co-writers.  When I hear it, I smile at all the things I should have said to the ‘cowboys’ that broke my heart a long time ago. There’s so much hype around falling in love with a cowboy, but there’s also the flip side  — not all of them are all that they’re cracked up to be. Somebody needed to tell that side of the story!” said Taite.

“Boy in Cowboy” is now available on all streaming platforms and available to purchase on iTunes.

ABOUT SARAHBETH TAITE: Sarahbeth knew she wanted to be a country artist from a young age. After signing her first publishing deal at just 14, and graduating high school early, she moved to Nashville at 17 to pursue her dream.

Since then, Sarahbeth has found champions in outlets like CMT, which has supported nearly all of her music videos, and has been invited to perform on numerous stages and radio shows.

Taite’s single “Long Way” ushered her into the spotlight. Not only was the track a viral hit on TikTok, it also achieved significant commercial success when it debuted at #1 on the iTunes all-genre chart and amassed millions of cumulative streams. Thanks to those significant sales and streaming numbers, “Long Way” earned Taite her Billboard chart debut. It also compelled radio personality Bobby Bones to personally invite Taite to make her terrestrial radio debut on his show, and later, to appear on his BobbyFest music festival. Since Taite’s debut, Bones’ co-host, Amy Brown, has repeatedly featured Taite’s music on her iHeartMedia show, “Women of iHeartCountry.”
