Ashley Cooke recently posted a TikTok teasing a duet with Brett Young on a re-released version of her single “Never Til Now”. Ashley originally released “Never Til Now” last year on her first album Already Drank That Beer – Side A. Though it hadn’t been released as a separate single, the song stood out from the other tracks. A tender song, it is about not knowing what one is truly looking for until it is in front of them.
Ashley’s TikTok starts out with her pointing at captions as song plays in the background with the first chorus about to end. “So…huge news. I’m adding a massive country artist as a feature on this song,” the captions read. Suspense builds as soon as vocals come back once again. From the right side of the screen, Brett Young jumps out and lip-syncs his verse. Once the chorus starts up again, Ashley joins Brett in lip-syncing. This TikTok has already garnered over 230K likes, and that number only rises!
Brett also teased the release on his Twitter. “Something special coming this week,” he shared, accompanied with a shushing emoji. With Brett’s addition, “Never Til Now” heads in a new direction brought by the gravitas of his gravely voice. From the preview shared on Tik Tok, his vocal stylings fit perfectly into the second verse they’ve re-recorded. Their voices harmonize wonderfully.
TikTok has been beneficial to Ashley Cooke’s burgeoning career. After getting her start on TikTok in 2020, her success has blossomed immensely. She recently signed a record deal with Big Loud Records. Combined with already having worked with big names such as Jimmie Allen and Roman Alexander, her star is about to rise big time. Follow her on the platform that helped launch her career to help those viral numbers grow! And stream Already Drank That Beer – Side A in preparation for the re-release of “Never Til Now” on April 1st.
