“Hurt No More”, the latest release from Chase Wright, dropped October 14. “Hurt No More” follows the release of last year’s Intertwined, the dynamic debut album from Chase Wright. Having recently been named to Sirius XM’s The Highway’s “Highway Find List”, these are exciting times for the former college track athlete. Chase Wright first picked up a guitar during his freshman year at DePauw University. After graduation, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music.

The hard work ethic Chase imbued into his career paid off with Intertwined last year and continues this year with “Hurt No More”. Chase has a soulful and gravelly voice to emphasize his desire for independence in the track. He longs for the affections of a former love interest. This ex, however, is no good for him, and he struggles with wanting her love and wanting to be free of pain.

Pouring that gas, striking that match
And setting this bed on fire
Shutting those blinds, hitting rewind
And go where we ain’t been in a while
I could kiss you once, forget the past
Act like this time’s gonna last
And I could and I would let you walk back through that door
But I don’t wanna hurt no more, no more, no more
Yeah, I don’t wanna hurt no more, no more, no more
