Colbie Caillat Announces Country Debut

Colbie Caillat announces her Country debut album, “Along the Way,” just a month after performing at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time in late May.

The two-time Grammy Winner was previously more associated with pop music than another genre, has stated that this upcoming album will be released on September 22, but has released two songs ahead.

Her latest single, titled “Pretend,” was released on June 9, along with a music video.

“This song started as a half-chorus that I wrote in my bedroom about looking back on the good times in a relationship so you can re-live them again,” Caillat states. “It was amazing to see the song come together with such beautiful country-based instrumentation.”

Caillat’s upcoming album consists of twelve tracks, with Caillat co-writing or fully writing every track. Nine out of twelve tracks have co-writers attached to the credits, including Alysa Vanderheym, Jordan Shellhart, AJ Pruis, Liz Rose, Brett James, Jason Reeves and Kenny Edmonds.
