Kelsea Ballerini Dives in “Heartfirst”

Kelsea Ballerini Heartfirst

Kelsea Ballerini is back with her first single of 2022 in “Heartfirst”! After releasing the dreamy “I Quit Drinking” last year, Kelsea is back with a bubbly sound akin to the more pop-like anthems of her career. “It’s, like, a bop: Breezy, windows down, go for a drive, get right,” Kelsea said in the lead-up to the release. “Heartfirst” definitely has that summer vibe to it. Fans will take a quick liking to it. Plus it’s a relatable song for anyone who’s chased what their hearts go after.

“Heartfirst” is a cute song about falling in love. Kelsea notes how she brushes into a guy and ends up following her heart over her head in pursuit of love. Even though it might be a temporary rush, the risk is worth it. Check out the lyrics:

That voice in my head says to slow down
But it can’t see the way you lookin’ at me right now
It may not be next week what I need
Then again, maybe it might be

Could be forever, or we might break
That’s just the kind of risk that we take
My head is yellin’ that I could get hurt
But I’m gonna jump right in, baby, with my heart first

Kelsea is right: this song is a bop! Listeners can see themselves vibing to the song poolside. Stream “Heartfirst” below and see for yourself! Make sure to follow Kelsea Ballerini on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more updates.
