New York native and Berklee grad Carolyn Miller dropped her latest single “Well Enough Alone” September 16. An ode to letting go and letting loose, Carolyn hopes listeners like this song as much as she does. “Honestly might be one of my favorites. Sometimes we know things aren’t good for us, but we enjoy getting ourselves into a littleee bit of trouble once in awhile,” Carolyn Miller shares on her social media accounts.
With a playful melody and gorgeous tone, “Well Enough Alone” captures the whimsy of releasing your inhibitions. Carolyn sings about being stuck in a routine and finding the urge to break through that minutiae. And who better to break the monotony than a handsome stranger.
‘Cause you walked in looking like a James Dean
Already seeing myself in that white tee
Another pretty face saying all the same things
Well lucky for you that’s never stopped me
You can pull me in, but don’t get too close
Tonight it’s you, but baby you should know
I can leave when it’s time to go
But I can’t leave well enough alone
Carolyn Miller released her first EP independently in 2018. Since then, she’s shared the stage with many big names in the business, such as Ashley McBride, Sam Hunt, and Walker Hayes. She’s making her mark here in Music City, as she’s bee named “One To Watch” by Nashville Songwriters Association International.
