Midland is set to host a free concert in Nashville for SEC Kickoff, an event that has never been hosted in Music City before.

The Grammy-nominated band will be giving a completely free concert on July 18 in the heart of Nashville on Lower Broadway. This is all part of the SEC Kickoff presented by Regions, as the SEC announced on June 15.

Along with the concert, the SEC has stated that there will be a free street party and more live music into the event. The stage will be located near Fourth and Broadway in downtown Nashville and is open to the public.

“We are excited to bring SEC Football Media Days to Nashville as we kick off the 2023 season,” SEC Commissioner Grey Sankey stated.  “When we began moving SEC Media Days to new locations, we wanted to enjoy the experiences uniquely present in each community and we look forward to the Tuesday night concert blending Music City with SEC Football.”

As detailed by the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp and the SEC, the SEC media event will be held on July 17-20 starting at 5 pm CT. The concert will immediately follow at 7 pm CT. Everything will be featured on ESPN2 and the SEC Network at the respective times.

The three members of the country group are Mark Wystrach, Cameron Buddy and Jess Carson. Midland, who will headline the free concert, has previously been nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song for “Drinking’ Problem” at the Grammy awards. They have also won the New Vocal Duo/Group of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards.
