Nate Smith has released his most recent single “Whiskey On You” on May 6th. The California native has been racking up the streams. His single “Under My Skin” has over 30 million streams on Spotify, followed by “I Don’t Wanna Go To Heaven” with 17 million streams. Now he’s hoping “Whiskey On You” can continue this train of success. “I’ve been so excited to release this song because it really feels like a summer anthem! I’ve recently gone through some personal stuff, and this song was an avenue for me to express what it feels like getting to the other side,” Nate says upon the release of the single.
It starts out as an upbeat and easygoing song. When listeners dive further into the song, the break-up nature of the song becomes evident. The “over it” energy this song delivers is something anyone who is over their ex can relate to.
