Taylor Swift sets record for most No. 1 albums after the rerelease of her third studio album, now titled Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).
The title for the most number one albums held by a female artist was previously held by Barbara Streisand, but after Billboard reported that Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) had the highest first-week numbers out of all albums released in 2023, this comes as no surprise.

“It was a Speak Now (my version) album release party at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City this weekend, full of surprises ?,” Swift captioned the post. “I got to premiere the video for ‘I Can See You’ on the big screen and hearing the crowd’s reaction to it is something I’ll never forget. THEN @joeyking @taylorlautner and @helloimpresleycash walked on stage (and there were even a few flips??) to say hi to everyone. I got to play Long Live with my incredible band (who are the ones playing on all my re-records too) and it was just so unfathomably special to me. Singing those words in a stadium full of people who helped me get my music back. Love you all ??? See you very soon, Denver!”
Billboard reports that the newly rereleased album has gotten 716,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the first week with 507,000 in album sales.
Swift is currently on a journey to rereleasing all her her albums prior to Lover, and including this rerelease has 12 albums total. While this is a new record held for the mega superstar, Swift is not new to breaking them.
Currently on her Eras Tour, Swift continuously breaks the records for most people attended for many stadiums, tickets sold, and so much more. In fact, it was announced a few days ago that the United States Government credits Taylor Swift in boosting the economy.
Taylor is about to wrap up her United States round for the Eras Tour, ending in Los Angeles and then heading to Europe to continue.
