Rising Country artist Stephen Paul releases his “Off My Chest” music video, the title track from his latest EP.
In the video, Stephen is seeking closure with the girl who got away. From the start, you’re instantly caught up in his feelings during the couple’s split in the first scene.
The song itself brings together Stephen‘s modern Country sound and traditional style to tell the emotional story of figuring out what to say after not being able to let go of what once was. It’s the kind of breakup we wish we couldn’t relate to, but we’ve been there before.
The creative beauty in this music video is showing how perfect the scenes parallel with Stephen‘s emotions pouring out in the song. Throughout the video, Stephen is shown locked in a jail cell. He is stuck in his head and can’t find the right words to say, but “start with I’m sorry”. He’s a prisoner of his own thoughts, and you can’t help but to feel for him.
